- Aerolase Neo Elite Northville MI | Acne, Redness & Pigment
Aerolase Neo Elite in Northville, MI for acne, rosacea, melasma, and uneven tone — safe on all skin tones, no downtime. Per-session pricing published. Book a free assessment Aerolase Neo Elite in Northville, MI Acne, rosacea, melasma, and uneven tone — treated on any skin tone, with no downtime. Most laser treatments make you choose. Either the laser is strong enough to do something, or it's safe enough that you can go back to work. The Aerolase Neo Elite is one of the few that doesn't force that trade, and it's the only laser in our practice I'll use on a client with active acne, visible redness, or melasma on the same visit as their consultation. It doesn't touch your skin. There's no gel, no cooling tip, no contact of any kind — which matters more than it sounds like it should when you're treating inflamed acne or a rosacea flare. From Claudia, Founder I trained as an electrical engineer before I trained in skin, so when a manufacturer tells me a laser is safe on every skin tone, I want to know why before I put it on a client's face. Here's the actual reason. The Aerolase Neo Elite fires in 650-microsecond pulses. That number sits in a specific window — long enough that it doesn't shatter pigment the way older Q-switched lasers do, short enough that your epidermis never holds the heat long enough to react. Older 1064nm devices missed that window in one direction or the other. This one doesn't. That window is the whole argument for treating darker skin with this laser. It is also why I won't tell you it's risk-free. Lower risk is not no risk, and the settings still have to be right for your skin, which is what the assessment is for. Every laser protocol in our practice is one I wrote and one my team is trained on. Whoever treats you is following the same standard, because I set it. — Claudia, Founder What the Neo Elite treats If you’re a busy professional, acne-prone, sensitive-skinned, or simply want results without downtime—Neo is a powerful option. Aerolase Neo Elite for Acne It reaches the sebaceous glands and the bacteria feeding a breakout without drying out the surface of your skin. Most people see fewer new breakouts within two to three sessions. This is the one treatment where we go weekly or biweekly rather than monthly, because we're chasing an active process. Post-acne redness and discoloration The flat red or brown marks left behind after a breakout heals. These are not scars — scars are textural, and they need a different laser. If you run your finger over the mark and it's smooth, this page is right for you. If you can feel a dent or a ridge, read the section below on the Era Aerolase Skin Rejuvenation. Rosacea and facial redness Diffuse flushing, persistent redness across the cheeks and nose, and the small visible vessels that come with it. The Aerolase Neo Elite targets the blood in those vessels without heating the surrounding skin, which is why it's tolerable on skin that's already reactive. Melasma and hyperpigmentation Melasma is the treatment I'm most careful with, and I'll say plainly that it's managed, not cured. The Aerolase Neo Elite is one of the few devices I'll use on it, because heat-driven treatments can clear melasma and then trigger a worse rebound. Before any treatment is started we will recommend a Tyrosinase Inhibitors cream to use for 2 weeks (morning and night) Slower settings, more sessions, and daily sunscreen are non-negotiable — without the last one, we're wasting your money. Tone, texture, and early laxity Collagen stimulation across the face, neck, décolleté, or hands. This is the gradual one. You won't see it after session one, and anyone who tells you otherwise is selling. Visible vessels and angiomas Cherry angiomas, the spider vessel at the side of the nose, and fine facial veins. These often clear in one to three sessions, which makes them the fastest visible result on this menu. Leg veins Fine surface vessels on the legs respond. Larger, ropier veins usually don't, and I'd rather tell you that before you book than after 3 sessions. Leg vessels sit deeper and carry more pressure than facial ones, so results are less predictable here than anywhere else on this page. I'll tell you at the assessment which kind you have. Aerolase Neo Elite for Hair Removal Neo offers a gentle, virtually painless laser hair removal experience for many clients. Multiple sessions are needed because hair must be treated during its growth phase. Benefits Gentler and more pleasant than many other lasers Effective results with a series of sessions Typical timing Treatments are often spaced every 3–4 weeks (varies by area + hair cycle) Pseudofolliculitis barbae (PFB / Razor Bumps) The ingrown hairs and bumps that follow shaving, most commonly along the jaw and neck. Treating this on darker skin with the wrong laser is how you get hyperpigmentation instead of relief. The Aerolase Neo Elite is one of the few devices I'll use for it. Early stretch marks and raised scars Red or purple stretch marks that are still new, and scars that are raised or discolored. The vascular and inflammatory component responds. Old, white, textural stretch marks do not — that's a resurfacing question, not this laser. Read more with ERA Skin Resurfacing Lip enhancement without filler A short treatment that stimulates blood flow and collagen in the lip itself. It's subtle, it builds over a series, and it wears off — but there's no needle, no filler, and nothing to dissolve if you decide you don't like it. It's the least expensive thing on this menu and the most common way people try us for the first time. What I won't use it for Acne scarring. If you can feel the texture, the Neo Elite will not fix it. Scarring is a structural problem and it needs an ablative laser that removes and rebuilds tissue. That's the Aerolase Era , and it's a different treatment with real downtime. Deep lines and significant sun damage . Same reason. The Aerolase Neo Elite improves tone and stimulates collagen gradually. It does not resurface. Anything I'd rather a dermatologist saw first. If something on your skin is changing, bleeding, or new and I don't like the look of it, I'll say so and I won't treat it. That's not me being cautious for liability. That's the correct answer. Hair removal runs on a different device here. See laser hair removal. BOOK A CONSULTATION Aerolase Neo Elite or Era — how I decide These are the 2 lasers people confuse, and the honest answer is that they do different jobs at similar prices. Aerolase Neo Elite or Era Aerolase Neo Elite Era Full face $400 per session From $600 Sessions 3–6, spaced weeks apart Often one, sometimes two Downtime None Several days to a week How it works Heats targets below the surface Removes a controlled layer of skin Best for Acne, redness, pigment, tone Acne scarring, deep lines, texture A full Aerolase Neo Elite face series runs $1,600 to $2,400. A medium-depth Era treatment is $1,800. So the question isn't which is cheaper — it's which problem you actually have. Smooth discoloration, redness, active breakouts: Aerolase Neo Elite. Texture you can feel: Era Skin Rejuvenation . Some people need both, in that order, and I'll tell you if that's you. What to expect Before. No numbing, no gel, no prep beyond arriving with a clean face. Stop retinoids for a few days beforehand and skip the self-tanner — I'll go over your specifics at the assessment. During . Ten to thirty minutes depending on the area. Most people describe it as a warm snap, repeated. It doesn't touch your skin at any point. After . Mild warmth and pinkness for an hour or two, sometimes a few hours. You can wear makeup and go back to work the same day. Sunscreen daily, and that's not optional if we're treating pigment. When you'll see it. Vessels and angiomas: often immediately. Acne: two to three sessions. Redness and pigment: three to four. Tone and collagen: four to six, and it keeps improving for a couple of months after the last one. Pricing Aerolase Neo Elite Every price here is per session, with the number of sessions most people actually need. I don't publish packages. If a series makes sense for you, we'll talk about it after your first treatment, when you've seen what your skin does — not before. The assessment is free. A $25 deposit holds your treatment appointment and comes off the price. Book a free assessment → Frequently Asked Questions About Aerolase Neo Elite Is it safe on darker skin? Yes, and the reason is the pulse length rather than the wavelength alone — 650 microseconds is short enough that your epidermis doesn't accumulate heat. That said, lower risk is not no risk. Your settings get built at the assessment, not from a chart. Does it hurt? Most people describe a warm snap. No numbing needed. Rosacea and active acne can be more sensitive, and we adjust for that. How many sessions will I need? It depends on what we're treating — see the pricing table above, where every series length is listed. I'd rather you know the real number before you spend anything. Can I go back to work after? Yes. Pinkness for an hour or two, makeup is fine, no peeling. Will it treat my acne scars? Not the textural kind. If you can feel the scar, you need the Era Skin Rejuvenation . If it's a flat red or brown mark, this laser handles it. Do you offer packages? Not on this page. Per-session pricing, honest session counts, and we talk about a series once you've had one treatment and know how your skin responds. Can I combine it with other treatments? Often, yes — with microneedling or a HydraFacial on the same visit. We'll sequence it at the assessment. What should I do before my appointment? Come with clean skin, no self-tanner for two weeks, and pause retinoids for a few days. Daily sunscreen matters more than anything else you do between sessions. Is there anything that rules me out? Certain photosensitizing medications, recent sun exposure or a fresh tan, active infection in the treatment area, and pregnancy for some indications. This is what the assessment covers. Important Safety Notes Laser treatments aren’t appropriate for everyone. Please tell us if you have: Active infection, open lesions, or cold sores in the area, recent sun exposure/tan, Photosensitizing medications or recent medication changes. Any significant health changes since your last visit. Book a free assessment 15 minutes, no cost, no pressure. I'll look at your skin, tell you which laser is right for it — including if the answer is neither — and give you a real number and a real timeline before you commit to anything. Embrace effortless beauty and schedule your consultation today! What are Ombré (ombre) powder brows? Ombré Powder Brows are a semi-permanent cosmetic tattoo technique designed to create soft, shaded, makeup-style eyebrows. Ombré powder brows vs. microblading Unlike traditional microblading, which mimics individual hair strokes, ombré powder brows use a pixelated shading method that is lighter at the front of the brow and gradually becomes darker toward the tail. The result is a polished, defined look similar to softly filled-in brows with brow powder. This technique is fully customizable in shape, color, and intensity, allowing the brows to enhance your natural features while still looking refined and balanced. When performed by a licensed and experienced PMU artist, ombré powder brows heal beautifully and can last 1–3 years with proper care and maintenance. Free Consultation Book Service Who Are Ombre Powder or Nano Powder Brows Best For? Powder Brows are an excellent option for: Clients who want fuller, more defined brows without daily makeup Oily, combination, or mature skin types (where microblading may not retain well) Those with sparse, uneven, or over-plucked brows Clients with sensitive skin who may not be ideal candidates for microblading Anyone looking for a long-lasting, low-maintenance brow solution Busy professionals, moms, or anyone who wants to wake up with brows already done This service is ideal for women who want a clean, put-together look every morning with minimal effort, while still maintaining a soft and natural appearance. Book Now Healing process + timeline for Ombre Powder Brows and Nano Powder Brows From Claudia, our Tattoo Artist Ombré Powder Brows and Nano Powder Brows require minimal downtime, making them a convenient option for clients with busy lifestyles. Immediately after the procedure, brows will appear darker and more defined than the final healed result—this is completely normal and part of the healing process. What to Expect During Healing: Days 1–3: Brows may feel tender and appear darker or slightly bold. Mild redness or swelling is normal. Days 4–7: Light flaking or scabbing may occur as the skin naturally exfoliates. It is important not to pick or scratch the area. Days 8–14: Brows may look lighter or uneven as the pigment settles beneath the skin. Weeks 4–6: Color stabilizes and the final result becomes visible. Most clients can return to work and daily activities immediately, as long as aftercare instructions are followed. Important Aftercare Guidelines: Avoid sweating, workouts, saunas, and swimming for 7–10 days Keep brows clean and dry; avoid makeup on the brow area until healed Avoid sun exposure, tanning, and exfoliating products on the brows Follow all provided aftercare instructions to ensure optimal pigment retention A perfecting touch-up is typically recommended 6–8 weeks after the initial session to refine shape, color, and density. With proper care, healed brows look soft, natural, and beautifully enhanced—no daily makeup required. The technique is customized to achieve a natural, polished result that heals beautifully. No more smudging, fading, or endless brow products—just beautifully soft, natural-looking brows that last. See More... Working With the Best Clients and Partners Frequently asked questions (FAQs) How long do Ombre Powder brows last? Ombré powder brows typically last 1–3 years, depending on skin type, lifestyle, sun exposure, and aftercare. Pigment will gradually fade over time, keeping the brows soft and natural rather than changing color abruptly. Does it hurt? Discomfort is minimal. A professional-grade topical numbing agent is applied before and during the procedure to ensure comfort. Michigan regulations may require some clients to obtain a numbing prescription from their physician prior to the appointment. Most clients describe the sensation as light pressure or mild scratching rather than pain. When can I work out again? Avoid workouts, sweating, saunas, and hot yoga for 7–10 days after your appointment. Excess sweat can interfere with proper pigment retention during the healing phase. When can I wash my face normally? You may gently cleanse around the brow area right away, but avoid getting the brows wet for the first 7 days. After this period, you can resume normal face washing while still being gentle on the brows. Are powder brows good for oily skin? Yes. Ombré powder brows are one of the best options for oily and combination skin. The soft shading technique allows pigment to retain more evenly and last longer compared to microblading, which can blur or fade quickly on oily skin. What is the healing process like? Healing is straightforward with minimal downtime. Brows will appear darker immediately after the procedure, then may lightly flake or scab between days 4–7. Color softens as the skin heals and fully stabilizes around 4–6 weeks. Do I need a touch-up? Yes. A touch-up is strongly recommended 6–8 weeks after your initial session. This allows us to reinforce pigment, adjust color, and perfect shape once your brows have fully healed. Can you fix old permanent makeup? In many cases, yes. Old or faded permanent makeup can often be corrected, softened, or reshaped depending on its color, saturation, and condition. A consultation is required to assess your existing brows and determine the best approach for correction or coverage. If you have additional questions or would like to schedule a consultation, we’re happy to guide you through the process and help you decide if ombré powder brows are right for you. - Laser Skin Resurfacing Northville MI | Acne Scars & Wrinkles
Ablative laser resurfacing in Northville, MI with the Aerolase Era. Three depth options for acne scars, deep lines, and sun damage. Downtime and pricing shown upfront. Laser Skin Resurfacing in Northville, MI For acne scarring, deep lines, and sun damage that lighter treatments haven't touched. Ablative resurfacing with the Aerolase Era — real results, and real downtime we'll tell you about before you book. Targeted areas from $300 · Full face from $900 · 1 to 14 days of healing depending on depth · Payment plans available Book Your Skin Assessment Founder Note Claudia, Founder & Certified Laser Technician Most of what we offer is designed around not disrupting your life. The Neo Elite treats acne and rosacea with no downtime at all. Microneedling costs you a day of looking flushed. Resurfacing is different , and I want you to know that before you're in the chair. Ablative means the laser removes the outer layer of skin in a controlled way, so your body rebuilds it. That rebuild is where the result comes from — new collagen, new surface, scars and lines that don't come back the same. It's also why you'll spend somewhere between 3 days and 2 weeks looking like you had something done. If that trade is worth it to you, this is the most powerful tool in our practice. If it isn't, I have three other things that will get you partway there without the recovery, and we'll happily point you to them. Is SKIN RESURFACING for you? Era - Aerolase is likely right if: You have acne scarring — the indented, textured kind that fillers and facials don't touch You have deep lines around the eyes or mouth that aren't improving with anything topical You have significant accumulated sun damage on the face, chest, or hands You have surgical or injury scars you want softened You've done microneedling or IPL and gotten partway there, but not far enough You can protect a few days to two weeks of your calendar Era - Aerolase is not right, or not right yet, if: Your main concern is active acne — the Neo Elite treats that better, with no downtime Your main concern is redness or rosacea — same answer Your main concern is flat brown sun spots with no texture change — IPL is cheaper and gentler You can't stay out of the sun during healing You're pregnant or nursing You've taken Accutane in the last six to twelve months You have an active infection, cold sore, or open lesion in the area You keloid, or have a history of keloid scarring You have an event in the next three weeks We'd rather turn you down today than have you unhappy in two weeks. What Era - Aerolase treats Acne scarring — Boxcar and rolling scars, the indented texture left behind after acne clears. This is what resurfacing does that nothing else does as well. Fine lines and wrinkles — Especially the etched lines around the eyes and mouth that don't move with expression. Sun damage — Not just the brown spots on the surface, but the leathery texture and thickened skin underneath years of exposure. Tone and texture — Overall roughness, enlarged-looking pores, skin that doesn't reflect light evenly. Scars — Surgical scars, injury scars, and raised or textured scarring. Skin growths and benign lesions — Certain raised surface lesions. We'll identify what's appropriate at your assessment. Book your skin assessment Pricing Diferent depths. You choose with us at your assessment. **Medium resurfacing, full face — 1,200 dollars.** About 45 minutes. Removes the damaged surface layer and reaches the upper dermis where collagen rebuilding starts. Softens fine lines, evens sun-damaged texture, improves shallow scarring. Pink and peeling for about five days. One to three treatments depending on what we're correcting. **Deep resurfacing, full face — 2,600 dollars.** About an hour and 35 minutes, numbing included. Goes further into the dermis, which is what deeper acne scars, surgical scars, and etched lines actually require. Recovery is real — roughly 10 to 14 days before you'd want to be in front of people. Usually one treatment, sometimes two. **Neck — 500 dollars per area. Chest — 500 dollars per area.** **Scar and lesion work — 500 dollars per named area.** One cheek, one temple, the chin, the upper lip, or a single surgical or traumatic scar. Most take one to three treatments. Scarring across a wider region is priced as a full face, because it's a different amount of work. **Sun damage, per area — 300 dollars.** Crow's feet, frown lines, forehead lines, under-eye, smoke lines, and sun-damaged texture with pigment change. 1 to 3 treatments. If your pigment is sitting on smooth skin with no texture change, resurfacing is the wrong tool — that's what the Neo Elite is for, at lower cost and no downtime. Book Skin Assessmnet What is the right treatment for you? Medium is right for you if your skin looks tired rather than damaged — fine lines, uneven texture, sun exposure, shallow scarring — and you can give up 5 days. Deep is right for you if you have deep acne scarring, a surgical or traumatic scar, or etched lines that creams and microneedling haven't touched, and you can genuinely clear two weeks. Not everyone needs a full-face treatment. If your concern is confined to one place, we price it that way. Note from Claudia, Founder & Certified Laser Technician Most people don't need the deepest setting. The honest recommendation is often a medium-depth treatment rather than the most aggressive one, because the results are comparable and the recovery is far easier to live with. That's the call I'll make with you at your assessment, and I'm not going to sell you downtime you don't need. Payment plans available → How SKIN RESURFACING with ERA Aerolase works ERA from Aerolase is an Er:YAG laser. It emits light at 2,940 nanometers, and that number is the whole reason it works the way it does. Water absorbs 2,940nm light more strongly than any other wavelength in the laser spectrum — roughly an order of magnitude more than the CO2 wavelength older resurfacing lasers use. Your skin is mostly water. So when Era - Aerolase fires, the energy is absorbed almost entirely at the surface, in the layer being treated, and very little of it travels deeper as heat. That's the difference. A CO2 laser removes tissue and heats a wide margin around it. Er:YAG removes tissue with a much narrower heat margin. Practically: Faster healing. Less collateral thermal injury means less to recover from. Lower risk of post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation. Heat is what triggers pigment to overreact. Less residual heat, less risk. More predictable depth. We can take off a defined amount rather than estimating through a heat zone. The trade-off, and we'll be straight about it: less residual heat also means less collagen contraction than CO2 produces. Era Aerolase resurfaces exceptionally well. It is not primarily a tightening laser. If skin laxity is your main concern, that's a different conversation and possibly a different treatment. Era's pulse is 300 microseconds. Short pulses deliver energy faster than heat can spread — the same principle behind the Neo Elite, applied to a different wavelength for a different job. Note from Claudia, Founder & Certified Laser Technician I trained as an electrical engineer before I trained in skin. When we tell you why a setting is what it is, it's because I understand the physics — not because that's what the rep said. Every laser protocol in this studio is one I wrote and one my team is trained on. Whoever treats you is following the same standard, because I set it. Read More ERA - Skin Resurfacing Skin tone: what we can and can't promise Er:YAG has a real advantage here, and we don't want to overstate it. Because 2,940nm targets water rather than pigment, Era AerolASE doesn't seek out melanin the way IPL does. That makes it meaningfully safer on deeper skin tones than IPL, and safer than CO2 resurfacing. It's one of the reasons we chose it. But ablative is ablative. Any treatment that removes skin creates inflammation, and inflammation is what drives post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation in Fitzpatrick IV, V, and VI. Lower risk is not no risk. Note from Claudia, Founder & Certified Laser Technician - The protocol I set If you're Fitzpatrick IV or above and you want resurfacing, we do 3 things: we start at a more conservative depth than we'd use on lighter skin, we may pre-treat your skin for several weeks beforehand to calm pigment production, and we plan treatments with longer intervals between them. That's a real protocol, not a disclaimer. It also means your first appointment is a conversation, not a treatment. Prefer to avoid ablative entirely? The Aerolase Neo Elite is designed for all skin tones with no downtime → Neo Elite Aerolase Where Era Aerolase - Skin Resurfacing fits We have four ways to change your skin. They stack; they don't compete. Where ERA fits What it does Downtime Best used for Era Resurfacing Ablative — removes and rebuilds the surface 1–14 days Scarring, deep lines, heavy sun damage Aerolase Neo Elite 1064nm, no downtime, all skin tones None Acne, rosacea, redness, melasma Microneedling Controlled micro-injury to build collagen 1–2 days Texture, mild scarring, maintenance IPL Photofacial Targets surface pigment and vessels Spots darken ~1 week Sun damage and redness, Fitz I–III A common path: microneedling to see how your skin responds and build a baseline → Era Aerolase to do the structural work on scarring and lines → Neo Elite Aerolase for maintenance and flare-ups after. Not everyone needs all 4. Nobody needs all 4 at once. The point of the assessment is figuring out which one or two actually apply to you. What healing actually looks like What healing actually looks like. This is a medium-depth treatment. Superficial is milder and shorter; deep is more intense and longer. You'll get the version for your depth at your assessment. Day 0. Immediately after, your skin feels like a strong sunburn — hot, tight, and red. That's expected. You go home with occlusive ointment and instructions. Days 1 to 2. Peak swelling, usually the morning after. Your face feels tight and looks red. Sleep elevated. Keep the ointment on. Don't touch it. Days 3 to 5 . The redness organizes into a bronzed look, and the surface begins to flake. This is old skin lifting off. Do not pull it, pick it, or exfoliate it. Days 5 to 7. Most of the flaking finishes. New skin underneath is pink and shiny. Mineral makeup is fine at this point. Weeks 2 to 4. Pinkness fades. This is when people start telling you that you look well-rested. Months 2 to 6. The real result. Collagen remodeling is slow — improvement in scarring and lines keeps building for months. What you see at week four is not the final answer. During healing: no sun, no picking, no active ingredients, no swimming, no working out until we clear you. Broad-spectrum SPF every day afterward, permanently. Resurfaced skin that gets sun exposure will re-pigment, and you will have paid for nothing. (Answered by Claudia, Founder) Frequently asked questions (FAQs) How much does it hurt? Topical numbing goes on 45 to 60 minutes before we start, and for most people that's enough. You'll feel heat and a prickling sensation. Deeper settings are more intense. Afterward it feels like a bad sunburn for about 24 hours, and over-the-counter pain relief handles it. Do I need more than one treatment? For a full-face treatment, usually not — that's the point of going deeper in one session. Once every one to two years is typical for medium and deep, and every six to twelve months for superficial. Targeted scar work usually takes one to three treatments spaced several weeks apart. Can I do this in the summer? You can, but we'd steer you to October through March. Healing skin is highly sun-sensitive, and Michigan summer makes protection harder. Fall and winter give the best result and the easiest recovery. Do I need a consultation first? Yes, and for this treatment there are no exceptions. We need to see your skin, review your medical history and medications, discuss your Fitzpatrick type, and make sure you understand the recovery. Nobody books resurfacing without an assessment. How long is the appointment? Budget about two hours for your first one — numbing takes most of that. The laser portion of a full face is typically 30 to 45 minutes. How is this different from microneedling? Microneedling creates thousands of tiny channels to trigger collagen without removing the surface. Era removes the surface in a controlled layer. Microneedling is gentler, cheaper, and needs more sessions. Era does more per session and goes deeper on scarring. They work well in sequence. Will it work on my acne scars? Usually, on the indented and textured kinds — boxcar and rolling scars respond well. Ice-pick scars are narrower and deeper and often need a combined approach. You'll get a realistic expectation at your assessment rather than a promise. What if I've had Accutane? Wait six to twelve months after your last dose. Accutane affects how skin heals, and resurfacing too soon carries a real scarring risk. When will I see results? Surface improvement shows up as soon as the flaking finishes, around day seven. But the change in scarring and deep lines builds over three to six months as collagen remodels. Don't judge it at week two. How is this different from the Aerolase Neo Elite? Completely different jobs. Neo Elite is non-ablative — it treats acne, rosacea, redness, and pigment with no downtime, on every skin tone. Era removes and rebuilds the surface for scarring and deep lines. We have both because they don't overlap. Can I do this if I have darker skin? Yes, with a modified protocol — conservative depth, possible pre-treatment, longer intervals. Er:YAG is safer on deeper skin tones than IPL or CO2 because it targets water rather than pigment. But it isn't risk-free, and we'll walk you through exactly what that means for you before you decide. Do you offer payment plans? Yes. Details on our payment plans page, and we'll go through the options at your assessment. Acne scars don't fade. Deep lines don't reverse with a serum. If lighter treatments have taken you as far as they go, resurfacing is the next real step — and it's a decision worth making with someone who'll tell you the recovery honestly before you commit to it. Book a skin assessment. We'll look at your skin, tell you which depth we'd actually recommend, quote you a real number, and tell you plainly if we don't think you're a candidate. What IPL actually is (and what it isn't) Let's start with a correction, because most med spa websites get this wrong — including, until now, mine. IPL is not a laser. A laser emits one wavelength of light, coherent and precisely aimed. IPL — intense pulsed light — emits a broad spectrum across many wavelengths at once, filtered to target what we're after. Different physics, different tool, different job. That difference is the whole point. Because IPL covers a range of wavelengths, one pass can address several things at the same time: the brown of sun damage, the red of broken capillaries, the uneven tone underneath. A single-wavelength laser is more precise but treats one target at a time. Here's the mechanism. The light passes through the surface of your skin and is absorbed by contrast — by pigment that's darker than the skin around it, and by the hemoglobin in visible blood vessels. That absorbed energy becomes heat. The heat breaks up clustered melanin, which your skin then carries away over the following week or two. In vessels, the heat causes the vessel wall to collapse and be reabsorbed. You'll see the brown spots get darker for a few days before they lift. That's not a mistake. That's the pigment coming to the surface on its way out. I trained as an electrical engineer before I trained in skin. I don't see a machine — I see energy doing a specific job, and I can explain every step of it to you. Which also means I can tell you when it's the wrong job for your skin. (From Claudia, Founder & Certified Laser Technician) Free Consultation Book Service What IPL treats? Sun damage and brown spots Years of accumulated UV exposure — the freckling across the cheeks and nose, the flat brown patches on the forehead and chest. This is what IPL does best. Facial redness and broken capillaries. The persistent flush across the cheeks and around the nose. Visible small vessels. Rosacea-related redness. Uneven skin tone. The overall dullness and patchiness that comes from mixed pigment sitting at different depths. Post-acne redness. The pink and red marks left behind after breakouts clear — not the indented scars, which need a different approach. Chest and hands. S un damage doesn't stop at your jawline. The décolleté and backs of the hands often show it first and respond well. When we use IPL, and when we won't (The protocol I set for my practice — Claudia, Founder. Every laser protocol in our practice is one I wrote and our team is trained on. Whoever treats you is following the same standard, because I set it) This is the part most places leave out, so read it before you book. IPL works by targeting pigment. It can't fully distinguish between the pigment in a sun spot and the pigment in your skin overall. On lighter skin, where the spot is much darker than the background, that contrast is large and the treatment is precise and safe. On deeper skin tones, that contrast narrows. The light gets absorbed more broadly, and the risk shifts from treating the spot to injuring the skin around it — burns, and post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation that can be worse and longer-lasting than what you came in for. So: if you're Fitzpatrick IV or above, I don't use IPL on you. We'll move you to the Aerolase Neo Elite , which uses a 650-microsecond pulse specifically engineered to be safe across all skin tones, including Fitzpatrick VI. That's not us turning down your business. That's us sending you to the right machine in the same room. I'll also hold off on IPL if: You're actively tanned, or have had significant sun exposure in the last two to four weeks You're pregnant or nursing You've taken Accutane in the last six months You're on a medication that increases photosensitivity You have an active infection, open lesion, or cold sore in the treatment area You have melasma — IPL can trigger it to rebound worse. There's a better path, and we'll talk about it. You'll get all of this at your assessment, before you spend anything. Learn about Aerolase Neo Elite Looking for other low-maintenance beauty options? Technologies IPL Photofacial Aerolase Neo Elite Typical series 3–5 sessions 3–6 sessions Sun exposure Avoid before and after; best in fall and winter Safe year-round Downtime Darkening and flaking for 3–7 days None Sensation A rubber-band snap with each pulse Warm, gentle passes Skin tones Fitzpatrick I–III Fitzpatrick I–VI, all skin tones Best for Sun damage, brown spots, broken capillaries, general tone Acne, rosacea, melasma, redness, texture What it emits Broad spectrum, filtered Single wavelength, 1064nm What a session is actually like What to expect in the treatment room Before . No sun, no self-tanner, no waxing in the treatment area for two weeks. Stop retinoids five days out. Come in with clean skin and no makeup. During . We apply a cool gel and give you protective eyewear. The handpiece makes contact and pulses — each one feels like a snap of a rubber band against the skin, with a flash of warmth. Most people find it uncomfortable but manageable, and it's over quickly. A full face takes about 20 to 30 minutes. Immediately after . You'll be pink and slightly swollen, like a mild sunburn. That settles in a few hours. You can wear mineral makeup the next day. Days 2 to 5. Brown spots darken. They can look like coffee grounds or small dark flecks sitting on the surface. This is the treatment working — don't pick at them, don't scrub them. Days 5 to 10. The darkened pigment flakes off on its own. This is when you see the result. Then. Sunscreen, every day, without exception. IPL removes existing sun damage; it doesn't stop new sun damage from forming. Skipping SPF undoes what you paid for. How many sessions, and when? Most concerns need 3 to 5, spaced three to 4 weeks apart. Some deeper or more diffuse pigment takes more. Some single spots clear in one. At your assessment we'll look at your skin under proper light and tell you the number we actually expect — not a package we want to sell you. The best time to do IPL in Michigan is October through March. Treated skin is more sensitive to UV, and the results hold better when you're not going into a summer of sun exposure. We'll still treat you in June, but we'll tell you honestly that fall is the better window. Once you're clear, most people come back once or twice a year to hold it. This treatment delivers controlled light energy into the skin to destroy acne-causing bacteria, reduce inflammation, and regulate excess oil production — without harsh medications or aggressive downtime. PIGMENTATION THERAPY Read More Our advanced Pigmentation Therapy uses medical-grade IPL (Intense Pulsed Light) technology to safely target excess melanin responsible for sun spots, age spots, freckles, and uneven skin tone. This treatment addresses discoloration at its source — not just the surface — resulting in a brighter, clearer, more even complexion. VASCULAR THERAPY Read More Our advanced Vascular Therapy utilizes medical-grade IPL light technology to precisely target unwanted redness and visible blood vessels without damaging surrounding tissue. This treatment selectively heats and collapses dilated capillaries, broken vessels, and diffuse redness, allowing the body to naturally clear them over time. Hi. I am Claudia, and my journey into laser technologies started with a passion for helping clients feel confident and comfortable in their skin—effortlessly. See More... Frequently asked questions (FAQs) Is there downtime? Not the kind that keeps you home. You'll be pink for a few hours, then you'll have darkened spots for about a week that makeup covers. Plan around a big event — don't book this three days before a wedding. Does IPL hurt? It stings. Each pulse feels like a rubber band snapping against your skin, with a flash of heat. It's brief and most people handle it without numbing. If you're anxious about it, tell me and we'll test a small area first so you know what you're signing up for. Can I combine IPL with other treatments? Often, yes — IPL for pigment and redness, microneedling for texture and scarring. They address different layers. We'd space them appropriately and map the order at your assessment. Microneedling → Will it work on my skin tone? If you're Fitzpatrick I through III, yes. Fitzpatrick IV and above, we'll move you to the Aerolase Neo Elite instead— it's designed for all skin tones and it's the safer, better result for you. You'll get a straight answer at your assessment. How soon will I see results? The pigment darkens within 48 hours and flakes off over the following week. That's your first visible change. Full results build across the series. Can I do IPL if I have melasma? I'd steer you away from it. IPL can appear to clear melasma and then trigger it to come back darker, because melasma is driven by heat and inflammation as much as by UV. There are better options and we'll talk through them. Do I need a consultation first? Yes. A 15-minute skin assessment before any laser or light treatment, no exceptions. We need to see your skin, review your history and medications, and confirm you're a candidate. It also means you get an honest number of sessions instead of a guess. (Answered by Claudia, Founder) Sun damage doesn't reverse on its own, and no serum is going to lift twenty years of pigment out of your skin. Start with a 15-minute skin assessment. We will look at your skin properly, tell you whether IPL is the right tool or whether something else in our practice is, and give you a realistic number of sessions and a real price before you commit to anything. - Cellulite & Skin Tightening Northville MI | T-Shape 2
Cellulite, loose skin, and stubborn contours — treated with radiofrequency and vacuum therapy in Northville, MI. Face and body, no downtime. Free assessment. Cellulite and Skin Tightening in Northville, MI Loose skin after weight loss. Cellulite on the thighs that no amount of training has changed. A jawline that has softened. These are texture and laxity problems, not weight problems, and they don't respond to the gym. The T-Shape 2 treats them with radiofrequency, vacuum therapy, and low-level laser — on the body and on the face. No needles, no numbing, no downtime. It is also not a fat-loss device, and I'll tell you exactly what that means below. From Claudia, Founder I trained as an electrical engineer before I ever touched a treatment room, so when a manufacturer hands me a spec sheet, I read the numbers before I read the marketing. Here's what I found when I read this one. Bipolar radiofrequency is the part of this device I'd defend anywhere. RF energy meets electrical resistance in the dermis, that resistance produces heat, and heating collagen to roughly 40–42°C denatures it enough to trigger a wound-healing response and new collagen over the following weeks. That mechanism is well understood and the results are real. Vacuum and endodermic massage is mechanical. It lifts and manipulates connective tissue and moves lymphatic fluid. It works — but the effect is mechanical, and mechanical effects fade without maintenance. Low-level laser therapy is the piece I'm least willing to oversell. The proposed mechanism is that specific wavelengths of light cause fat cells to release their contents. Some studies show modest circumference reduction. The evidence is thinner than for RF, and I'd rather tell you that than pretend it's settled. That's the honest ranking of the 3. I still use all of them, because in combination they do something none of them does alone. Every protocol in this studio is one I wrote and one my team is trained on. Whoever treats you is following the same standard, because I set it. T Shape 2 and WHAT IT ACTUALLY TREATS BOOK CONSULTATION Loose and creepy skin. Abdomen after pregnancy or weight loss, inner arms, inner thighs, above the knees, under the chin. This is the RF doing the work, and it's the strongest use case on the device. Cellulite appearance. Thighs and glutes. Read the "what it won't do" section before you book for this one — I have a specific caveat. Circumference. Measurable reduction over a course of treatments, mostly in the abdomen and thighs. Facial tightening. There's a dedicated facial handpiece. Jawline, jowls, and the lower face — for someone who wants firming without downtime and isn't ready for resurfacing. Post-treatment swelling and sluggish lymphatic flow. Temporary relief. T SHAPE 2 - WHAT I WON'T PROMISE This is the section other places leave out. This is not a weight-loss treatment. It does not remove fat cells. If the goal is losing weight, this is the wrong tool and I'll say so at your assessment rather than sell you 10 sessions. It does not build muscle. Radiofrequency, vacuum, and light do not contract muscle. If you want muscle tone, that's the Rena Sculpt — a different machine in the same studio, using electromagnetic muscle stimulation. Two different jobs. I'd rather route you correctly than book you into the wrong one. Cellulite improves in appearance, not in cause. Cellulite happens because fibrous bands tether your skin down to the fascia beneath it, and fat pushes up between them. Radiofrequency and massage soften and smooth what sits above those bands. They do not cut them. That means real visible improvement, and it means the improvement is maintenance-dependent. Anyone telling you they've cured cellulite with a handpiece is selling you something. Results reverse with weight gain. Circumference reduction from this device does not survive a 10 pound gain. It won't fix deep lines, scarring, or pigment. That's laser skin resurfacing or the Neo Elite , depending on what you're looking at. BOOK A CONSULTATION T-SHAPE 2 OR RENA SCULPT? Two body treatments, two different jobs We run two body devices in the studio, and they are not versions of each other. One works on your skin and the tissue just beneath it. The other works on the muscle underneath that. Booking the wrong one is the most common way people waste money on body treatments, so here is the honest split. If your skin is the problem, this is your page. If what you want is firmer muscle underneath, that's the Rena Sculpt. And if it's both — which it often is — we sequence them rather than run them together. We look at the area, talk through what's realistic, and I tell you whether this device is the right one. If it isn't, I'll say so. Session length : between 45 minutes to 1.5 hours, depending on the area During : Warmth and a deep massage sensation. Most people find it comfortable enough to talk through. Nothing numbing, nothing sharp. After : You go back to your day. Skin may be pink and warm for an hour or two. No downtime. Course : At your initial appointment we can tell you the minimum number of sessions and spacing. Manufacturer references at least 10 treatments. Results build across the course — the RF collagen response takes weeks, not days. Maintenance : Cellulite and laxity results are maintenance-dependent. Plan on periodic sessions to hold them. To keep pricing transparent and accurate, we’ll confirm your exact investment during your consultation based on your treatment area(s) and goals. A few details on our Book Now link below. See Membership PAYMENT PLAN AVAILABLE PRICING We publish our prices. You should know what something costs before you sit down with us. Your first session stats at $149 (for face & neck) or $199 (for other body areas) — a full treatment on the area you're concerned about, at less than half the regular rate. Not a demo, not a consultation. You feel the device on the area that actually brought you in, and afterward we map out what a course looks like for you. Body — per area (abdomen, arms, legs). Legs and buttocks count as one area. Most places price thighs, calves and buttocks separately. Here they're a single booking at a single area price — $350 a session, about an hour and a half. It's the most surface area you can treat in one appointment in this studio, and it's the best value on the body menu. I'm telling you that plainly because it's easy to miss in a price list. The trade is time. A full package is at least 8 to 10 sessions, so plan on 12 to 15 hours over the run of it. Twice a week finishes it in about a month; weekly is easier to sustain and works just as well. Area Per session Course Single session $350 $350 Course of 8 $1,800 $225 Course of 10 $2,150 $215 Face, neck and décolleté Price Per session Course of 8 $1,330 $166 Course of 6 $1,000 $167 Single session $250 $250 Longer packages — 12, 18 and 24 sessions for the body — are available and priced lower per session. We'll talk about whether you need them. Your introductory session is separate from the package. If you go on to book a package , it's on top of the $149 or $199 — so a body course of 8 means 9 treatments in total. We price it this way because T-Shape 2 results come from multiple sessions, not a single visit, and I'd rather you commit after you've felt the device than before. A $25 deposit holds your appointment and comes off the $149 or &199 introductory session — it isn't an extra charge. LEARN MORE BOOK A CONSULTATION Frequently asked questions (FAQs) Does it hurt? No. Most people describe it as a warm, deep massage. If any part is uncomfortable, we adjust the settings. Will this make me lose weight? No. It doesn't remove fat cells and it isn't a weight-loss treatment. It changes how an area looks, not what the scale says. Do I have to buy a package? No. Single sessions are $350 for the body and $250 for the face and neck. The packages cost less per session because is what actually produces the result, but you're welcome to go session by session. Can you use it on my face? Yes — there's a dedicated facial handpiece for the jawline and lower face. It's a firming treatment, not a resurfacing treatment. If your concern is lines, texture, or scarring, skin resurfacing is the better answer. Do I need to do anything to prepare? Drink water and eat normally. That's it. Is there downtime? None. Skin may be pink and warm for an hour or two afterward. You can go straight back to work. Can it get rid of my cellulite permanently? It improves the appearance. It doesn't remove the cause — the fibrous bands that create cellulite stay where they are. The improvement holds with maintenance and fades without it. How long does a course take? At twice a week, about a month. At weekly, two to three months. Either spacing works — we pick what fits your schedule. Can I do this if I've had surgery? Tell me at your assessment. Timing after any procedure matters, and I need to know before I treat you. How soon will I see something? Circumference and lymphatic changes can show early. Skin tightening is slower — the collagen response takes several weeks, and the visible difference usually lands after the third or fourth session. Is $149 what a full course costs? No. $149 is a discounted standalone first treatment. A package sits on top of it — a body package of 8 runs $1,800, a face and neck package of 6 runs $1,000. Book your package and your introductory session and take 10% off, which brings a body package to $1,769 all in, for 9 treatments. Payment plans are available. How is this different from the Rena Sculpt? The Rena Sculpt contracts muscle. The T-Shape 2 works on skin and connective tissue. If your goal is tone and strength, that's the Rena. If it's loose skin, cellulite, or contour, it's this one. Is there anyone you won't treat? Yes. Pregnancy, active infection in the area, and certain implanted devices all rule it out. We go through this at your assessment. Come find out if it's the right device Your first session is $149 or $199 and it's a real treatment. You'll leave knowing which of my two body devices fits your goal, how many sessions it takes, and what it costs — or that neither of them is right for you, which I'll tell you just as plainly. How Laser Tattoo Removal Works (Nd:YAG) At Natural Lash Skin Bar, tattoo removal is performed using Nd:YAG laser technology with settings customized to your tattoo and skin.
