How Much Does Laser Skin Resurfacing Cost in Northville, MI?

You've searched this before and found the same non-answer everywhere: pricing varies, book a consultation.
I understand why practices do it. It gets you in the door. But it also means you can't work out whether this treatment is even in your range before giving up an evening, and I don't think that's fair.
So here are our actual numbers.
Full-face resurfacing
Treatment | Time in the room | Price |
Medium resurfacing, full face | About 45 minutes | $1,200 |
Deep resurfacing, full face | About 1 hour 30 minutes | $2,600 |
Numbing is included in the deep treatment. It isn't an add-on, and I won't ask you to decide about it while you're sitting in the chair — a deep pass needs it, so it's in the price.
Targeted areas
Concern | Price |
Sun damage, per area | $300 |
Scar and lesion work, per named area | $500 |
Neck | $500 |
Chest | $500 |
A named area means one cheek, one temple, the chin, the upper lip, or a single surgical or traumatic scar. Sun damage areas are things like crow's feet, frown lines, forehead lines, under-eye, or smoke lines.
Your assessment is free. A deposit holds your treatment appointment and comes off the total. The arithmetic I'll do for you at the assessment.
Here's something most places won't tell you: past a certain point, per-area pricing stops making sense.
Three scarred areas at $500 each is $1,500. A full-face medium treatment is $1,200 and covers everything, including the skin between the areas you were counting. If your list gets long enough that the full face costs less, I'll say so out loud and quote you the lower number.
That isn't generosity. You'd have worked it out afterward, and I'd rather you didn't have to.
Why depth changes the price this much?
The gap between $1,200 and $2,600 isn't a markup. It's a different treatment.
A medium pass removes the damaged surface layer and reaches the upper dermis, where collagen rebuilding starts. It softens fine lines, evens sun-damaged texture, and improves shallow scarring. You'll be pink and peeling for about five days.
A deep treatment goes further into the dermis, which is what deeper acne scars, surgical scars, and etched lines actually require. It takes longer, asks considerably more of my technique, and asks considerably more of you — roughly 10 to 14 days before you'd want to be in front of people.
You're paying for how much work the treatment does and how much healing you're taking on. The recovery timelines are here, and they're worth reading before you choose a tier.

When the cheaper treatment is the right one?
If your pigment is sitting on smooth skin — brown spots, sun spots, no texture change — resurfacing is the wrong tool. Removing a layer of skin to reach flat pigment is more treatment and more downtime than the problem calls for. The Aerolase Neo Elite targets pigment directly, costs less, and has no recovery/no downtime.
If your concern is mild texture or early lines, micro needling may get you where you want to go for less. Start there.
Resurfacing earns its price when texture has genuinely changed — scarring, etched lines, weathered skin. Buying 4 sessions of something too gentle and staying unhappy is the more expensive outcome.
How many treatments will you need?
Ablative resurfacing isn't a series the way micro needling and IPL are. Most full-face clients have one. Deeper scarring sometimes needs a second round after the first has fully settled, after 5-6 weeks or several months later. Targeted areas usually take 1 to 3 sessions.
That changes the arithmetic. A $1,200 treatment you have once compares differently to a $300 treatment you have six times.
Your result also keeps developing for 3 to 6 months. You're buying the outcome at month four, not the one at week two.
What the price includes?
Your assessment. The treatment. Aftercare products and written recovery instructions. A follow-up to check your healing.
What it doesn't include is a promise. I'll tell you what's realistic for your skin, and if what you want isn't achievable here, I'll say so rather than take your money.
